The BioReference Laboratory is among the top laboratories set up with state-of-the-art equipment and techniques. One of its goals is to offer full plant health services that include the diagnosis of diseases in crops, fruits, wild flora, and pests that attack both crops and wild flora, and soil-borne pathogens. In addition, we test seeds for their resistance to pests and diseases, and analyze soil and irrigation water to determine their suitability for farming. We also carry out extensive pest and disease monitoring at the request of our clients; if infected materials are found, we immediately inform the client with recommendations aimed at improving quality and boosting production.

We are backed by a team of experts in plant pathology and entomology and collaborate with educational institutions including agricultural colleges across the Kingdom and with overseas laboratories, including Fera UK. Additionally, we work with plant protection units around the world to share observations and to handle customer inquiries. We possess infrastructure that includes advanced laboratories with basic microscopes and ELISA tests and molecular tests that enable us to identify the genetic codes of specimens. In addition to this, our laboratories are also found to contain a library that has insects, fungi, and plant bacteria that are of significant agronomical significance.
